Meet Zakiya

Hi, I’m Zakiya – a Registered Acupuncturist at Lynn Valley Massage Therapy in North Vancouver, BC.

I believe in a holistic approach to health and well-being. My path to acupuncture began as a patient, navigating my own health journey after suffering a severe concussion. The profound relief I found from acupuncture opened my eyes to the power of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the importance of healing the body from within.

I practice a gentle style of acupuncture, aiming to foster a calm and safe environment for my patients. My goal is to work with every patient to uncover the root cause of their concern and restore balance to help you feel your best. In addition to acupuncture, I use a variety of therapies including cupping, gua sha, and auricular acupuncture to promote healing.

In my spare time, you can find me hiking with my dog Luna, skiing on the North Shore mountains, or in an early morning Pilates class.

For your convenience, I offer direct billing to Pacific Blue Cross, Sun Life, Telus Health, and ICBC.

Treatment Approach

Zakiya provides tailored acupuncture treatments to address your unique concerns. She believes it is important for patients to be involved in their wellness journey and focuses on a collaborative, patient-centred approach when delivering care.

During your treatment session, Zakiya will ask you about your goals, review your health history, and discuss the treatment plan for the session. With your consent, she will then use a variety of Traditional Chinese Medicine modalities to address your concerns and send you home with recommendations to support your continued healing.
